Encased in European spruce, Kremona’s new NG-1 and UK-1 sensors ensure natural amplified sound without modification to the instrument. Utilizing the tension of tuned strings, the NG-1 installs safely and securely on the tie block of a nylon-string guitar, while the UK-1 does the same on most sizes of ukulele.
When changing strings or with an existing set loosened, the pickup is placed on the tie block with the input facing downward. Strings loop around the bridge and tie block, holding the sensor in place as the strings are tuned to pitch. The supplied detachable mini-plug to ¼” cable can connect the instrument to an amplifier, soundboard or recording device.
Guitarists and ukulele players can now quickly and affordably amplify their instruments, without modifying or drilling any holes. The saddle mounted design also avoids the sometimes troubling task of installing a pickup through an instrument's sound hole.
