Hawaiian-born Dean Kamei first opened shop in 1973, offering lessons and accessories to San Francisco’s nylon-string community. Dean’s tireless effort to provide the most comprehensive selection of printed guitar music together with a collection of fantastic instruments led to Guitar Solo’s current stature as a west coast epicenter for serious classical guitarists. Dean was a forerunner in creating first a mail order service and then a publishing house for classical and Flamenco guitar music, thus engaging a global following with Guitar Solo Publications. Later, Dean formed GSP recordings, which has played a key role in sustaining the careers of several important artists. This year, Dean Kamei received Guitar Foundation of America’s Industry Leadership Award.  Congratulations to Dean Kamei from all of us at Kremona.

With a terrific selection of well-chosen instruments and a worldly veteran staff, Guitar Solo is a must-stop for true players and ardent students living or visiting the San Francisco Bay area.  Since 2005, Guitar Solo has perennially been among the top North American Kremona Dealers dealers. We’re extremely proud of our partnership with Guitar Solo.

Join our friends at Guitar Solo as they celebrate Kremona Days. Kremona-logo microfiber polish cloths are free just for demoing, while complimentary RC sport backpacks and Spanish string bundles are free with your Kremona guitar purchase.  See you there, San Francisco!
